«Each of you should give what you have decided
in your heart to give,
not reluctantly or under compulsion,
for God loves a cheerful giver».
This is what saint Paul recommends.
Thus, we too enter
the time of God,
slowly but decidedly,
respecting our human capacities.
It is a time that does not need clocks,
a time in which whoever comes to us
never does it just by chance or represents a problem,
but is a person who shall express
their cry of desperation,
the tragedies they hold within their hearts
and the struggles of their search.
Our Arsenals are open
twenty-four hours a day,
every day of the year,
because the love of God
does not submit to any schedule
and it should express within us and through us.
All that we do,
with the help of many wise friends,
makes our time resemble
the time of God.
«Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.” Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.» (2 Corinthians 9, 7-11).
