The Gospel is our rule of life
because it tells us about Jesus.
Thus, we learn to pray
as He did,
to act as He acted,
and feel His same feelings.
Jesus is the Lord of our life,
and we try to live
our life as His.
When Jesus makes a gift,
He also makes it a marvel
and bestows grace to experience it continuously.
All the words of the Gospel
were written for us
to live according to them,
or they would not have been written.
Every day, the Word renews
the eternity of the meeting
with Jesus, the Son of God.
The Word fills our humility,
thus the extraordinariness of the Beatitudes,
turning the other cheek and forgiveness
become possible.
We would never be able to make it all alone,
but He stands at our side
and through us
becomes the Present, today, in history.
«Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. […] If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.» (John 15, 4-5 7-8).
