Piazza giovani

Due to the closure imposed by Covid here at the Arsenal of Peace, we felt the need to keep in touch with our friends with a renewed path in Piazza Giovani which has the theme "Builders of hope". We will be together every Monday with eight appointments in which we try to share concrete steps of hope. Each episode has as its protagonist a keyword that we deepen, thus creating our “toolbox”, a sort of internal emergency kit for this period.

Let's try to summarize the first episode on relationships, through what young people have learned. “I found that the relationship takes time. Today we always live quickly, we want to arrive first ... while relationships must be lived well ». "We need to learn to get involved, live authentic relationships, have the courage to show others what we really are, so that they can appreciate us in all respects". "Curiosity and care: taking care of oneself, of others and of the relationship". "How dialogue and comparison with others are important spurs in the path of growth".

Two other contributions enriched the reflection: Francesca Fialdini, a well-known face of Rai, spoke of her experience as a presenter in the program "Hunger for Love". Father Marco Pavan spoke to us about his experience as a hermit: "In the condition of solitude that I live, relationships have not disappeared, but they are transformed because the only principle remains: a relationship is all the more complete the more it is true. And there is no point in a man's life in which you can touch your profound truth if not in front of God. If you are not true there you cannot be true even with others. Relationship for me is two words: mutual communication and discovery. Because the relationship cannot be based on looking at one's navel, it is a place of revelation. You always discover something new, but you discover it if you communicate, if you get involved and - discovery - the joy and desire for discovery "
