Giandonato Salvia is a 32-year-old young man. With a degree in economics, he started a project that aims to make economics applied to new technologies an opportunity to help those most in need.
His idea, however, does not arise only from the studies undertaken, but also from some examples of life: first of all his family, for some time engaged in Africa with the Onlus Missionary Solidarity, and then the meeting with the story of Carlo Acutis, a young blessed passionate about technology and friend of the poor.

The project, born in university school benches, is called Tucum and is dedicated to Carlo Acutis. It all started with a question: "Why can't I apply the concept of the gift, of gratuitousness, of" suspended coffee "to everything concerning the economy? And so it all started: a suspended dress, a suspended sandwich, a suspended drug, a suspended economy ".
All this takes the form of an application, managed by the participating non-profit organizations, which allows you to transform money into credits loaded on cards: these are then delivered by the institutions to families so that they can purchase the products in affiliated shops. «He accompanies the family in a discreet and dignified way and allows the small neighborhood business to work. Beauty is precisely the fraternity that exists in this project because everyone does his part: the person who has more availability and gives what he has in his heart, the body that must monitor and accompany families in difficulty and activities that adhere ".
Precisely for this contribution in promoting a social use of new technologies Giandonato is among the 33 nominated Knights of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic by President Sergio Mattarella. And one of the most beautiful aspects of the suspended economy is that the people most in need support the project, symbolically giving a few euros a month for the service offered and consequently taking responsibility. It is a virtuous circle, with a great teaching: no one is a waste, but the small contribution of each one helps others and we must take care of them.
