Peace on your shoulders... and in the heart

It was great to be here in the center of Turin with so many, children, young people and adults, people of all ages, cultures and religions. We are different, but united by the same ideals and desires for peace. We set out on the streets of our city with a very clear message: ours is not a protest because we have understood that peace is not a slogan to be shouted in the squares or in demonstrations, a word on which to be divided. Peace is a concrete fact, it is a choice of life, it is the radical commitment to fight against every injustice. Precisely for this reason we have walked not only with our dreams of good, but also with our commitments. It is concreteness that can open paths, broaden hope, give a face to peace. Solidarity alone does not stop war, but in its own way it can save the soul of the world. I'm in! We're in! Peace has me, it has us!
