To discover fragility and fears

Goliarda Sapienza, one of the greatest Italian writers, a woman out of all schemes and also from the political ideologies of her time, fought her battle first partisan, then feminist, always against the tide.

Il filo di mezzogiorno retraces the psychoanalytic experience lived by the author of the Art of Joy after the period of depression, which resulted in an attempt to suicide. In the adaptation of Ippolita di Majo, the story passes from the written page to the scene with all the load of acute and profound awareness, at the same time personal and universal, on the female condition, devoid of any moral prejudice: the discovery of frailties and fears , love, life.

In this show Mario Martone directs an intense Donatella Finocchiaro, in the role of the writer, in the confrontation / clash with her psychoanalyst, Roberto De Francesco: a no-holds-barred melee in which the roles are distorted and then take shape again. The show will be staged at the Carignano Theater in Turin from 5 to 14 April and then in Milan (19-24 April) and Rome (26 May-5 June).
