Patches

It will certainly have happened to every listening father: your son falls and scratches himself. At the first step it often happens that the child gets scared and looks at you as if waiting to understand from your reaction if the matter is more or less serious. If the reaction is calm, like: «But how well you fell! Bravo continues like this and returns to play !! », 90 times out of a hundred the dwarf will return to play without crying and in 10 percent of cases, we will get away with a plaster, which always has an unexpected magical effect, especially if it is on it. it's some cute and cuddly design. If, on the other hand, I will react to the fall like: «Help! My Lord take me !!! Call an ambulance !!! ", we will be sure that the little biped will start screaming inconsolably, and not even a Hulk patch at this point can save you.

Seeing my son who returns to play without crying makes me think about how true a phrase of my grandfather is: "Pain exists to the extent that we make it exist." What is more powerful than seeing the immense dignity of those who live the pains of life with a force that does not seem (and is not) normal? I like to think that these people trained and allowed themselves to be trained all their lives by someone who did not make drama, and who was always ready when needed with patches of all shapes and colors. I will be wrong, but I think that the more we fall, the more paradoxically we are lucky, because only falling teaches us to get up and allows us to increase our collection of patches. Someone will say: «But the planet will not be enough a band-aid to be saved !!». Grandpa, what do you answer? "All these falls and you still haven't realized that the patch is useless?"
