Father and friend - The memory of Don Giuseppe Ghiberti

A friend, Msgr., left us on 2 September to return to the Father's house. Giuseppe Ghiberti. In the 88 years of his life it was a gift. Priest since 1957, he taught New Testament in the theological faculty of Turin, whose bishop, Msgr. Repole, recalls: «Msgr. Ghiberti was in every sense a master. As a teacher he transmitted to us a profound passion for the knowledge of the Word of God; as a man and as a priest he testified to us, with great simplicity and delicacy, the joy of a life led "before the eyes of the Lord", animated by faith in the salvation of Jesus Christ".
Also a teacher at the Catholic University of Milan, he was a member of the Pontifical Biblical Commission, hence his friendship with the card. Ratzinger.
Thank you for your research and studies on biblical subjects and in particular on the Gospel of John, for his ecumenical commitment, for his dedication to the Shroud, for which he curated the exhibitions of 1998, 2000, 2010.
