Here is a selection of titles to recommend in the rich February menu.

I WILL NOT DIE OF HUNGER:
from the director of MasterChef Umberto Spinazzola, the story of a former Michelin-starred chef (Michele Di Mauro), who lives on the margins of society, but who will rediscover his love for cooking through a journey into food recovery, with ingredients reused and saved from waste.

THE SPIRITS OF THE ISLAND
by Martin McDonagh with Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson. Many years ago the director and actors created a very interesting film, In Bruges, an exciting thriller shot on location in the splendid Belgian city. Here they find themselves in a film set in 1923 Ireland, where two lifelong friends split up with alarming consequences for both. A reflection on the compromises of friendship and the diabolical temptations of individualism much appreciated during the last Venice Exhibition.

THE WHALE
by Darren Aronofsky with Brendan Fraser. Based on a play but shot by an extraordinary visual talent, the story of an English teacher who suffers from severe obesity (Brendan Fraser in the XXL version) and tries to reconnect with his teenage daughter to look for one last chance of ransom.

EMPIRE OF LIGHT
by Sam Mendes with Olivia Colman. Stories about the cinema of the past are a trend in recent months. After Spielberg and Chazelle, Mendes too reinterprets her childhood on the English coast with the portrait of a combative owner of a cinema in decline already fifty years ago. Super recommended.

DECISION TO LEAVE
by Park Chan-wook. Hae-joon is an infallible detective and an unsatisfied husband: when he is grappling with a case of suicide, he believes that it is actually murder. For this he investigates the victim's Chinese wife, but falls in love instantly. A thriller by a director famous for his grandguignol style, but which here mixes Hitchcock-like atmospheres with melodramatic elements.

TITANIC
by James Cameron with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. A perfect film in its ability to blend the elements of extreme entertainment with an evergreen teenage love story. In theaters 25 years after its release. Tempus fugit our people said.
