Amazed at the miracle

The 2024 Final Eight of the Italian Serie A basketball Cup was hosted by our city, Turin. A sporting event full of stars and champions. With immense amazement we found ourselves involved in this event and were able to host the training sessions of two of the competing teams and the prestigious clinic for coaches in our PalaSermig.

Amazement at having welcomed coaches for two days such as Sergio Scariolo (coach of the Spanish national team), Terry Stotts (former NBA head coach) and Marco Ramondino, who shared their experience and competence in a dialogue made up of questions and answers.

Amazement in seeing champions like RAYJON TUCKER or MARCO SPISSU train by hanging from our baskets and letting themselves be surrounded by our "bonsai athletes". Amazed at welcoming the president of the Basketball Federation, former president of CONI, Gianni Petrucci, to our stands.

Gratitude envelops us thinking that this place, just two years ago, was an ugly place that was scary, while today it is not only the home of our "bonsai athletes" but also of the "basketball giants" .
Terry Stotts arrived in a taxi. When he got out he accompanied the taxi driver inside to show him the PalaSermig. We asked him why. He explained to us that throughout the journey the taxi driver had told him that in this neighbourhood, a difficult neighbourhood, there was no arena for the "big" basketball and that the address was certainly wrong. The taxi driver changed his mind. He too was amazed, like us, by the miracles.
