It is difficult to guess what lies behind the origin of this word. One thinks of the requirements that the furniture must offer: sturdiness, practicality, comfort, pleasantness. The surprise lies in the deeper meaning, because the word was born to say "take care", "take care of planning". Furniture is now a field full of styles, products and product categories; but the hangover from the consumer society to which we are closely linked can be reclaimed, through the rediscovery of the care that every piece of furniture carries incorporated. Care to be designed or perfected, care in the stages of production, packaging, transport, storage. By care follows care: in the time dedicated to the choice at the time of purchase and placement. The care that requires use, cleaning and maintenance. And that necessary for disposal. To cure means to dedicate resources to something. The resources available are limited, therefore taking care is equivalent to making choices, saying no to something else.
