LED ZEPPELIN – BLACK DOG
The question is: why? Why does a song like this, from over 50 years ago, still catch on (at least to me)? The groove? Certain. Plant's legendary voice, here perhaps at its best? Obvious. Not to mention Page's guitar and Bonzo's devastating drumming. But it's not enough. So? In my opinion, this is not a band, but a single man playing all the instruments. Or rather, a single instrument that a whole band plays. Unrepeatable

AL JARREAU – BOOGIE DOWN
Song with a nice shot, from one of the most talented artists of the last 50 years. It's a shame that he didn't realize it, making just enough music, which clashes with his immense talent. In fact, Al Jarreau has an orchestra in his throat and could reach the sky, but that's it... A song built with wind instruments, mutual keyboard and fake bass, our guy enjoys making a light and easy funkino. Despite everything, he catches and it couldn't be different. Eighty

GRAHAM NASH – DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS
Travel music, for miracle workers. The album it comes from is in fact called Songs for Survivor, music for survivors. And he is in fact one of them. In this song, from 2002, you find the same desire and determination as then. Here it is the bass that does everything, rhythm, harmony and melody. The other instruments follow, do their part and make us dream, moving along a sunny highway in the middle of the desert. Which never ends. Highlanders
