BRENNEN LEIGH - IN TEXAS WITH THE BAND
Ok, it's country stuff, cowboy hats & village parties, but it has a not entirely defined character and, in my opinion, it borders on other musical genres. With the upbeat snare drum, the piano marking some phrases, some steel melodies seem written for clarinets... In short, if you don't watch the video, it seems like the Dixieland of 100 years ago in New Orleans, with some hints of the Chicago Charleston. But maybe it's me who's delusional – age, they tell me. And yet… Enjoyable

KEZIAH JONES – MILLION MILES FROM HOME
Funky African, he comes from Nigeria, with a lot of determination and a battered and tattered guitar. Jones is an African from a rich family, who aspired to a future as an industrialist in his father's company. But music ruined everything and he found himself quite successful in the 90s. When I think of the most muscular funk, I think of this artist, who really gives us a sample of it here. Hard funky

TOTO - AFRICA
The album containing this song won 6 Grammy Awards way back in 1983, a year in which rock wasn't exactly at the top of the charts. In fact, music when it's good convinces. Toto play like a single instrument, great artistic individuals that blend into teamwork and bring out a sound that has spanned the decades. Milestone
