Gaby Moreno - Nobody’s wrong

Guatemalan singer (but where do you get them, everyone asks me a bit), who moved to L.A. with a decent career behind her, Gaby produces here a folk-rock song, tranka-tranka section (by now a real musical genre) which is halfway between Simon & Garfunkel and Tracy Chapman, of which she also opened a concert series almost twenty years ago. The voice is expressive and charismatic, the melody sinuous and sufficiently original, it starts slowly but ends up with the people clenched under the stage.
Nice grit, cogent song, nothing sensational, but solid good music.
Grrrrioot girl.
