Together towards home

An Easter increasingly Easter, a true passage from death to life where no stage is spared, but all must be lived to the end. Here at the hermitage, Easter has the face of a chubby little girl with clown faces who laughs, speaks little and never understands what we are saying.

Holy Thursday passed with the words that the doctors said to your mother. There is nothing more to do, you can go home. The hope that dies with these words. What would you do with a mom who is about to lose her daughter? We make the pizza dough and together we make it. Could it be these simple things that make life beautiful, that give hope that there is always something to do? Together ...

Yet, we are constantly trying to disagree, there seems to be a perverse taste in being sick and then suddenly all the discontented - poof - disappear in a whisper in front of a child who wants just play and she lights up when you ask her: "Are you going to play soccer?"
That little girl is here alive in front of us, we can't put her off, she wants our attention now and if we don't give her that time, we know we won't be able to do it again later. Only faith can tell us that that little girl will continue to live next to us in a special way, because faith knows how to be more real than reality, but we still have too little of it and we only want to cry to curse: "But Lord, meaning does all this evil have? " As long as she happens to others far away she's sorry, but it doesn't really affect us. When you live in a house like ours, nothing is ever far away, nothing ever belongs to others, everything is always for our poor little heart that cannot always contain so much and at times it seems to burst.
Death is scary, we don't want to get too close.

On Good Friday, it seems to us that we are like those disciples who make the Via Crucis themselves, but taking care to stay well away.

Then Easter arrives and the little girl who doesn't speak but just makes funny faces keeps asking us for the translator and tells us that she talks to God, even if she is too young to do the ritual prayers and wants to fly like a fair. Perhaps the little girl has sensed that she is about to go home and we only have to accompany her on the journey.
