Our little is worth a lot

The annual Arsenale dell'Incontro celebration took place on Tuesday 11 June. The party is the occasion in which at the end of each school year we invite families, volunteers, friends and authorities to experience the experience of this house through dances, songs, sketches and plays created by our children and teenagers.

This year's theme was Our little is worth a lot, because we felt that the testimony of small signs of good that do small things but also big things could be a sign of light and hope in this difficult time. And so it was.

After 5 years in which it was not possible to meet, we had the great joy of the presence at the party of a group of our Fraternity from Turin, which made the communion and unity that bind us even more visible to the people of this Arsenal and it's mutual support. On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Sermig, the teachers have chosen to dedicate this year's performance to telling the beginnings of the Arsenal of Peace, in which the little offered without measure by Ernesto and Maria, Rosanna and the first friends allowed the Lord to achieve a very great good, that good thanks to which we are also here in Jordan today. The emotion was tangible, as was everyone's gratitude.

We share with you the words of welcome, which gave the key to the meeting, leaving it up to the faces of the children and young people of the Arsenale to also communicate to all of you through the photos a little of the great joy of that day. And the thank you that you will read is also for each of you, who we know support and accompany us, even from afar.

Sometimes it seems like we have very little to offer in our hands. Very little to offer for peace, very little to offer our children for their future, very little to offer because our resources are increasingly fewer... But in the difficult moment we are experiencing we asked ourselves: do we want to close ourselves off or continue to hold on to Are your doors and hearts open even for those who don't have our possibilities at the moment? Faced with the suffering and pain of many, near and far, we have chosen to continue doing all the good we can, indeed to do it even more forcefully, whether small or large. And we have experienced that our little is worth a lot.

Our little is worth a lot when we find a home where we feel loved and where we can share it.

Our little is worth a lot when, thanks to that little that each of us shares without limits, many others find a home, feel at home... because we become a bit of a home for them. So on this holiday we give you our homes, the home that we build together every day with our little and which has great value for us...

We give it to you as always through the faces, words and gestures of our children and teenagers. Because it is with them, for them and thanks to them that we can be home together every day.

Dear friends, thank you for your presence, thank you for the commitment and help that so many of you constantly give us, thank you for your trust which makes the desire to do our whole part to grow more and more in us because in the In the life of every person, the good finds a home and becomes a home for many, for everyone.

We experience every day that our little, the little of each of us, if we share it, is worth a lot, indeed it is essential for good to spread. May each of our homes, each of our communities, each of our families, may the heart of each of us be increasingly a home of peace!
