Restaurant “Arsenale dell’Incontro”
For one day, the Arsenal became a restaurant for a traditional breakfast. Guests included 60 people, including children with disabilities and their families.
Cooks, waiters, cashiers and room set-ups were the children with disabilities from the vocational training group. A socializing and professional experience of great importance: the older ones were able to improve their skills related to the world of catering, not only among themselves but also outside.
The little ones tried their hand at choosing from the menu, learning to sit at the table and relate to others.
The families breathed positivity and hope because they saw in the children protagonists a future for their children too.

Visits to government day centres from all over Jordan at the Arsenale dell’Incontro.
Between the end of November and December, we welcomed the managers of about thirty government day centres for people with disabilities sent by the Ministry for an exchange of experiences, updates and professional growth.
They came from all over Jordan, some leaving home before dawn to arrive on time. We shared with them days of daily life. Some people entered the Arsenal a little annoyed or defensive about the request they had received, all of them left with a smile because they did not feel judged but valued for what they are doing, and at the same time taking home new ideas and the desire to do more.
Many told us: "Thank you, what we saw here warmed our hearts and encouraged us". We said goodbye with the commitment to cultivate the relationships born from this meeting and create a network of ongoing collaborations over time. An opportunity for growth for each center, but also for the country and its commitment in the field of disability.
