The melody of peace

The Arsenale dell'Armonia opened its doors in the spring to many schools who came on a trip. It was nice to see the lawn full of children: this has always been their home, home to all the children and all the adults who want to remain children at heart.

Every day we train to make harmony sound between different people as the Lord himself invites us: to agree between us so that He can be present among us.
We know that the peach tree is different from the cherry tree, it ripens at a different time, but it has equally good fruit.
Together with the children we discovered that each tree also has a different sound, yes a sound.

The electrical variation that is produced with the flow of the lymph creates a cycle of sound which, expertly connected to the timbre of an instrument, can be heard by our ears. It is a non-regular cycle, you hear peaks and when the sounds are too loud you understand that the tree has a problem and is sending a communication message for help to the other trees.

It is a mechanism that is easier to listen to than to explain, but you could have the same unique and incredible experience that the children at the Hermitage had.
We attached sensors to the plants connected to headphones and so we could listen to the music of the trees. It may happen that for a few moments the tree does not produce any sounds, but more easily a real melody is heard. Each of us has blood flowing in our veins and these sensors are able to transform this flow into music; so we also tried attaching the sensors to the fingers of the teacher who accompanied the children and a harmony emerged from her too. Apparently nothing was happening, but instead something invisible and very concrete was happening.

At the end of the activity the little ones were so reconciled with creation that some fell asleep!
The older ones associated this experience with relaxing serenity, tranquility and peace, some said it was something strange and fascinating while for some it evoked beauty and feeling at home.
