I have always liked "train-like" songs, especially if supported by a musical idea worthy of the name. Here, Anne Keating, a well-known regular of this run-down column, offers us again, after years, a smooth track that runs fast and light, made of backing vocals and simple, straightforward rhythm. The surrounding elements are beautiful: a twisting banjo, a harmonica that singes your soul (at least mine), and a guitar carrying the whole thing. Horizons

ERIC HIRSHBERG | HALF WAY HOME
Oh yes, the good, old, and tested “tranka-tranka” (registered trademark, you know) always works. The track pulls you in, it’s catchy, you drink it down to the last drop like a well-chilled limoncello. Here, the added value is definitely the backing vocals, which are less ragged than they seem. Together with the instruments, they tell a story. Moreover, this Eric fellow's voice is warm and urgent, and that matters too. A narrating voice that increases the track's charm. Rustic

MIA MARTINI | HOTEL SUPRAMONTE
Dazzling!! I didn’t think a song by De André could be covered to this standard, but it happened. On the other hand, we are talking about one of the greatest Italian singers of the last 100 years, who puts her inimitable voice—hoarse and broken, perfect for a track as pain-filled as this one—at the service of Faber's poetry. The arrangement is brilliant. They say Faber was moved to tears when he heard it. Incredible
