BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN – WE SHALL OVERCOME
Answer to the question: when a great musician wants to record a cover, how does he do it? What has always struck me about Bruce is his ability to squeeze blood from a stone, musically speaking. He is not a virtuoso of either voice or guitar, yet he enchants you, he hypnotizes you. It’s enough for him to take the guitar and harmonica alone, and an entire stadium falls silent. The emotions many of his songs give you are unique. Charisma

THE DELTA SAINTS – CHICAGO

Dark, electric, electronic blues, with gloomy tones and powerful sonic impact, with a “wall” of guitars blasting through most of the track. A band that dreams of Delta Blues, adding more distortion than usual, but remaining well within the sacred groove of the blues. A strong voice, perfectly suited to the setting; guitars everywhere, but also horns, half-hidden beneath the electronic-like sounds, and harmonica—also distorted. Pathos
FOSSATI – DE ANDRÈ – DE GREGORI – QUESTI POSTI DAVANTI AL MARE

I don’t know why I’m including this song. I don’t particularly like it, it doesn’t have, in my opinion, an appealing musical structure; the melody flows with difficulty, the voices seem forced, not the ones we know well. And yet… it grabs me. I don’t know if it’s because of the lyrics, so devoid of logical meaning, almost impressionistic. Or maybe the rhythm, so intrusive compared to the rest. Perhaps it’s the sense of precariousness it conveys—the key that lets it enter your heart. Unconventional
