ED SHEERAN - BIBIA BE YE YE
There's very little Ed Sheeran in this African song, even though his voice leaves a significant mark. The song, however, is 100% African and will make you dance like crazy. The arrangement is basic but very refined, with a simple idea, featuring only a fast-paced guitar and some percussion. It's a shame the backing vocals are a bit timid; a little more volume wouldn't have hurt. Dancing in the dark
MICHAEL FRANKS - TELL ME ALL ABOUT IT
I often return to Michael Franks' records because they make me dream, that's the truth. They ooze music with images, tastes, flavors, and aromas, seasoned with our man's dreamy voice, creating a sound that resists, implacable and undaunted, the dust of time. This album has been out forty years, but I have to say, you can't hear it. It sounds as fresh and gentle as the first day I heard it. Fashion
JOHN LEE HOOKER FT. CARLOS SANTANA – CHILL OUT
What magic! He's a blues boss, dead at 84 after producing over 120 albums. Here, there are just four chords, not many more, yet between his hypnotic voice and Santana's guitar—he's a session musician here—the quintessence of a blues that is updated, linked to a genre like rock, but remains blues, without making a mess. Here, Santana, who isn't a bluesman, follows John Lee, completes his music, gives it an original tone, and doesn't distort it. Two worlds that meet without clashing. Epic
