SAM COOKE – A CHANGE IS GONNA COME
From the “slow killers” series, this song really veers towards the most romantic peak of soul. In reality, it is a song that has become an anthem of the civil rights movement in America and is in some ways a response to the much more famous song by Bob Dylan Blowin’ in the wind. It must also be said that it is sung by an ace like Sam Cooke, who really knew how to use his voice to make your soul vibrate. Truly beautiful.

LEONARD COHEN – IN MY SECRET LIFE
A song that was burned into my brain’s hard disk more than fifteen years ago and has never come out. It has a charm, an attraction, a certain something that chains you. Furthermore, given the title, you immediately associate it with your most private life. Here Cohen gives voice to your deepest cries, reveals all your demons, brings out the most hidden feelings. At least to me. Disturbing.

KEB’ MO’ – I WAS WRONG
Highway track, light and decisive at the same time, seasoned with the magical voice of Keb' Mo', an artist I've always liked not only for his voice, but for the sound he expresses. Drums with 2/4 snare drum, bass that embroiders on top, guitar that seems to stumble, simple melody that gets you going, harmonica that increases the engine revs... Minimal stuff, but tremendously effective. On the road.
