Interdependence!

Is it possible to identify factors that allow us to hypothesize the modification of today's society towards the so-called "planetary society"? deeper than the humanity of each person, where the seeds of brotherhood can be found. But the regionalistic tendency should not be underestimated, which pushes interdependence contrary to the image that can be had as a push towards autonomy, because it leads to the disaggregation of typically self-sufficient units, such as those established in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Indeed, if the state unit decreases its coagulating power, it is difficult to find a new balance through the constitution of a new state - as it was intended in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries - and it becomes inevitable to find a balance on a higher level, which is interdependence on a global level.

Continuing the search for elements that can justify the hope of the advent of the planetary society, it should be noted that the cost of trying to isolate oneself from others is enormous. This cost is divided into two factors: that to be made to pay to people in the absence of information, in freedom, in underdevelopment, a cost that in the long run is also violently rejected; the direct one, to the limit the cost of armaments. The cost of those who today want to barricade themselves, close their borders is certainly enormous.

Finally, there are noble motives such as man's spirit of research, utilitarian, and so on. All these data of today's society can lead us to an increasingly interdependent society which perhaps already today is able to move towards that great hope which is the planetary society.
