Unexpected trends

For this summer 2024, fashion presents us with some of the strangest and funniest trends of the last decades.

It's tennis mania! Polo shirts with starched collars, white pleated skirts, sweaters, cuffs and hair gathered in neat queues, in short, the world of tennis has invaded the streets and catwalks. Responsible for this fashion return to the red field is the success of Sinner, capable of mixing the classic tradition linked to this sport with the current fashion of the big brands. Two other trends concern sport: men's baseball caps worn with ease regardless of the chosen look and boat shoes worn in the city in a casual version combined with large bags with charms and trinkets.

We end with the "exposed" knee-highs. For decades they were used while remaining in the shadows, hidden, accused of being very comfortable but also very unsightly. In the 90s they appeared under miniskirts for a collegiate style but soon became invisible again. The first to bring them back to the catwalk was Miuccia Prada in the autumn-winter 2023/24 collection, a bold step that proved successful. Today the knee-high is unexpectedly trendy and is offered in a chic version in lace, fishnet, with bows, knitted, silk or basic with a large classic, opaque or sheer edge.
