Things I Know to be True
Publish date 24-12-2024
As part of the Romaeuropa Festival, Amos Gitai (photo), a master of contemporary cinema, returns to the theatre scene with House, a performance in many languages that tells the story of a house in West Jerusalem. Through the lives of the inhabitants who have lived here over a quarter of a century – Arabs and Jews, Palestinians and Israelis – the theatre show brings to the stage the artistic dialogue between actors and musicians from all over the Middle East, and the house becomes a metaphor for a possible coexistence.
In the depths of passing time, House creates possible places for everyone, the space we would like for everyone on this earth. On stage at the Teatro Argentina from 8 to 10 October 2024.
Valerio Binasco takes on Cose che so essere vere (Things I Know to Be True), an exciting and courageous work by Andrew Bovell, an award-winning Australian writer and playwright. A complex and acute photograph of domestic and marital mechanisms seen through the eyes of four siblings struggling to define themselves, beyond the love and expectations of their parents. Among the protagonists of this touching, funny and courageous story are Valerio Binasco and Giuliana De Sio. The show will debut at the Teatro Carignano in Turin on October 7 and then on tour in Italy.
