Remembering Piero Gobetti
Publish date 22-04-2026
ONE HUNDRED YEARS AFTER THE PASSING OF PIERO GOBETTI, an intellectual capable of combining with extraordinary intensity his political passion and love for theater, which he considered a tool for civic education and the critical formation of consciences, the Teatro Stabile di Torino dedicates to him Tutto in me è amore (Everything in me is love): a show directed by Marco Lorenzi that, through the dramaturgy of Diego Pleuteri, renews his memory by intertwining emotion and reflection, bringing to life the man behind the symbol of anti-fascism. Alongside students from the Teatro Stabile di Torino's School for Actors, from January 27th to February 1st, historians, journalists, and thinkers—including Corrado Augias, Annalena Benini, Giuseppe Culicchia, Paolo Di Paolo, Marco Revelli, and Vanessa Roghi—will take to the stage dedicated to him every evening, sparking a lively dialogue between the stage and society. After Alice Birch's Anatomy of a Suicide, winner of five Ubu Awards, lacasadargilla chooses the writing of Caryl Churchill, one of the greatest living English playwrights: Escaped Alone, premiering from January 10th to February 8th at the Teatro Grassi in Milan, recounts the joyful scandal of female old age in a world of perpetual youth: a nimble and acute image of a small, all-human apocalypse, seen through the amused eyes of four unpredictable women.
