Coach in the family

When we became parents, a few years ago now, we knew something intense awaited us; we had chosen it and thought we were ready to face it.
After a few weeks, we realized we had unleashed energies we didn't know existed. With time, things would change: it was just a matter of finding the right strategies.
After several years, we realized that parenting is 24/7; it begins and never ends; you can't pause it. After a while, you can't even think about your life "before them": it seems so "free" that it's incomprehensible in hindsight.
Yet, in this busy life, spaces continue to be created because they (your children) train you. They teach you to always say "no" when asked if you're tired, to smile when you see something beautiful even if you have so many things in your head, to say "yes" when asked to be more available, to respond with forgiveness when someone hurts you unintentionally, to always see in something that grows a message of hope for the future. Let's think about this when we sometimes feel a little discouraged because we feel like we're losing a piece of ourselves: they are actually teaching us how love can make us strong, even when we feel weak.
