Between Miracle in Milan and Cvechov

From March 4th to April 1st, Miracle in Milan debuts at the Teatro Strehler: the 1951 film by Vittorio De Sica and Cesare Zavattini is reinterpreted here by Claudio Longhi and Lino Guanciale, with the dramatic assistance of Paolo Di Paolo. Seventy-five years after its release, the "beautiful tale" arrives on stage for the first time as a tribute to the Milan of yesterday and today, a mirror of our contradictions and our feelings, to its myth, its reservoir of imagination, and the humanity that inhabits it.

From March 17th to 29th, the Teatro Carignano hosts the national premiere of Three Sisters. It's Snowing. What's the Sense?, a rewrite and direction by Liv Ferracchiati based on Anton Tsvekhov's masterpiece. Written in 1900 in a Russia gripped by social tensions and a widespread sense of stagnation, the drama recounts the immobility of Olga, Masha, and Irina, suspended in the dream of returning to Moscow. Ferracchiati highlights its relevance, and through a direction that explores internal contradictions, the show illuminates the human need for change, to imagine a different world, despite the knowledge that life often remains unfinished. After Turin, the show will tour several Italian cities.
