Hanan worked for a lifetime in an administrative and managerial role, he is now retired and helps his sister who has a flower shop in Madaba and who has been supporting us for some time by offering her customers the vegetables we produce here at the Arsenale. A few months ago she asked us if she could come and volunteer with us: «Anything, even the simplest, because I feel the need to do something for others».
Since then she comes to share her time with our older kids.
Each time she tells us: «It is always more what I receive than what I can give, for me it is a great gift!».

Two weeks ago she contacted us Jehan, she introduces herself as an art expert who wants to offer us a free course. We invite you to come and meet us, you are very impressed by the Arsenale and, in particular, by our art laboratory. At the end of the meeting, he asked us to start working alongside us in the art laboratory, because «I'd really like to get into the style I've seen and, with this experience in the field, rethink the idea of my course, to make it as effective and suitable for your children and teenagers». What's more, we discover that she is an exterior design engineer, and so she also offers to help us with the arrangement of our gardens!

Sleiman studies pharmacy at the university, he is in his final year. She had contacted us years ago to volunteer but then Covid had started.
However, his desire for him has remained alive, and so in this time he has ventured into manual activities and creative chores, with the hope of being able to share them with us as soon as possible. And so it was. Since the beginning of the semester he has been coming twice a week. He is a kind and sensitive person towards our little ones. Yesterday one of the educators told us: «Sleiman is really good, much more attentive and capable of being with children than many volunteers studying special education! He is giving us a great example ».

Three small stories, which however also represent a new beginning for volunteering after the "forced break" due to the pandemic.
And they testify in fact how much good you can do if you only really want to share.
